Essential Industry Template Group Methodology

The Essential Industry template group is based on the guidelines set out by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). The CISA guidelines categorize  essential industries at the 3-digit NAICS level, so we have created a slightly more granular template by expanding to the 6-digit level. Within the tool, you can view the essential industries at the 3-digit or 6-digit level. Remember that this does not reflect any one state’s actual list, and we recommend customizing it to your state or city.
