With the launch of our new brand, Lightcast, we have been working diligently behind the scenes to put ourselves in the position to provide our customers with the best-in-class postings data. Rather than relying solely on 3rd parties we are launching our new Global Dataset which relies more heavily on in-house data with some 3rd party provisions. Our in-house sources are identified, curated, and added to the system by Lightcast staff with consideration and understanding of customer needs. This allows us to be more responsive to customers changing needs, meaning we can now add new sources or remove poorly performing sources responsively.
With this change in datasets customers may notice a shift in the volume of data available at a national level which should provide a much better representation of the market in each primary geography, especially within Germany, France, Netherlands, Italy, Belgium, Spain, and Austria. Market level data will increase due to improvements in location mapping and our ability to manage in-house data.
We strive to have a mix of broad job boards, as well as a significant proportion of postings coming directly from employer sites. All in-house sources are carefully validated by the data collection team. We have put processes in place to better classify job postings and identify potential issues such as spam or junk postings.
